Bill the retainer at the start of each month and send the monthly report with it; results are the best payment reminder.
Put clear payment instructions (bank transfer, Zelle, Venmo, PayPal or card link) in the Payment details box, so paying you takes one step.
Frequently asked questions
Should ad spend go on my invoice?
Ideally the client pays ad platforms directly with their own card. If you pay the ads, list the spend as a separate pass-through line next to your management fee.
Is InvoiceCrisp really free?
Yes. You can create and download unlimited invoices, estimates and receipts for free, with no sign-up. The free version uses the Classic template and adds a small "Created with InvoiceCrisp" line at the bottom. Pro removes it and adds more templates, saved clients and history.
Where is my data stored?
Only in your browser, on your device. Your business details, clients and invoices are never uploaded to our servers. Use "Back up data" to keep a copy or move it to another computer.
How do I send the invoice to my client?
Download the PDF and attach it to an email, or send it through your messaging app. PDF opens the same way on every computer and phone.
